Mechanicsville, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Hanover Sheriff's deputies are asking for the public's help in determining who spray-painted a swastika on Mechanicisville High School's football field. Deputies are investigating but do not have any suspects.
Spokesman Sergeant Steve Wills says they believe the vandalism likely took place on Saturday, as it was discovered on Sunday and reported on Monday. Wills says there was additional vandalism besides the swastika but the additional was not offensive. He is not divulging what it was to avoid hurting the investigation.
The vandalism has been removed and painted over.
