Henrico County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Henrico County Public Schools has announced that they have banked enough instructional time this school year to provide two additional days off to students. They have also changed the date of one already-planned day off to better accommodate the special election scheduled in Virginia's fourth district.
Where the calendar previously called for a day off on Friday, February 17th, students will now attend school on that Friday but have Monday and Tuesday off (for Presidents Day and the special election, respectively), creating a four-day weekend. May 26th has also been made a student holiday.
HCPS is confident that, even in the event of snow days this winter, they have enough time banked to give students and staff this extra time off
