Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Much of Central Virginia is under a heat advisory for Thursday, meaning the mixture of the temperature and the humidity will make it feel like between 105 and 109 degrees. NBC12 Meteorologist Megan Wise is recommending people hydrate, and keep an eye on pets and children.

The heat doesn't end Thursday either. Wise says the real temperature on Saturday could hit 100 degrees. The first relief the area could see is potential storms on Monday, but even there, the temperatures will be in the 90s.

Temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday will get closer to normal, which is around 90 degrees.
