Henrico, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Henrico police are investigating two fatal accidents that occurred in a 12 hour period Monday into Tuesday. On Monday night, around nine, police say a 60-year old Harrisonburg man was killed, when a truck backed over him on Sanford Drive in the West End. Then Tuesday morning, a 32-year old motorcyclist was killed in an accident involving a Ford Explorer on Laburnum at Montclair.

Police also continue to investigate a fatal hit-and-run from earlier this month on Nuckols Road near Hickory Park. Twenty-seven year old DeShawn Johnson was found lying in the road near his car on the evening of October 16th. He died at the hospital. Police have tips but need more.

Henrico Police say there have been 31 deaths this year. They say distracted driving is a particular problem, and are asking drivers to pay attention to the road.
