Sandston, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Henrico Fire officials say a man luckily only suffered minor injuries with a severe storm that rolled through the East End Monday. The storm knocked the canopy off of a Citgo station, crushing the man's truck.

Henrico Battalion Chief Doug Reynolds says the man had just gotten out of the truck at the time (3pm), which avoided him being crushed. The man was taken to VCU Medical Center to be checked out. Reynolds says the East End saw a decent amount of flooding and wind damage with the storm that rolled through.

The gas station is located on Williamsburg Road.
