Henrico, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Henrico County has named its first ever Executive Director of the county's new Sports and Entertainment Authority. The county nabbed Dennis Bickmeier, current President of Richmond Raceway, to be in charge.
Bickmeier takes over as the county is moving hard into sports and entertainment. A new Convocation and Sports Center is scheduled to be completed at Virginia Center Commons next year. An arena is also planned for the old Best Products headquarters in 2025.
Bickmeier will be leaving his Raceway post.
