Henrico County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Henrico County Police have arrested a Chesterfield County woman in connection with an investigation of injuries to infants at the Henrico Doctors’ Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Police say 26-year-old Erin Elizabeth Ann Strotman – a former employee at the hospital – is charged with malicious wounding and felony child abuse.

This comes after the hospital said three babies were discovered with “unexplainable injuries” in November and December 2024. This hospital added that these fractures were similar to an incident involving four babies in 2023.

Henrico Doctors’ Hospital has temporarily stopped NICU admissions while the investigation continues.

“Currently, the Henrico County Police Division is utilizing all available resources to ensure a thorough investigation into this matter. This involves reviewing dozens of videos from inside the NICU,” police said.
