Sandston, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Henrico Police have updated details from this weekend's shooting of a suspect along I-64 in the eastern part of the county. Police say it was the driver of the car, Tony Singleton, 53, of Norfolk, who was shot in the incident, and that he died. Singleton's passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police also say Singleton's car flipped multiple times, which lead to the initial response by officers. They also say the body camera video from the incident is being reviewed. The officer is on administrative duty, as is protocol.
The shooting happened Saturday Evening. It was one of three shootings involving law enforcement in the Commonwealth this weekend.
