(Henrico County, Va.) - On Tuesday, December 28, 2021, Henrico 9-1-1 received calls for a shooting in the 7600 block of Wistar Village Drive around 4:09 pm. People dispersed, running from the area as shots were fired, while others remained on scene to render aid.
Henrico Police arrived, secured the scene, and one adult male was pronounced by EMS first responders on the scene with an apparent gunshot wound(s). The victim has been identified as Anthony R. Sweat, 27, of Stone Mountain, Ga. He was known to have ties to the Richmond area. The victim is the brother of Washington Football Team Defensive End Montez Sweat.
