Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - A House of Delegates sub-committee has rejected a bill that would have protected menstrual health data on apps from search warrants. The bill had passed the State Senate with strong bi-partisan support.
Senator Barbara Favola (D-Fairfax) had argued it was a privacy bill. Favola said menstrual data is probably the most private data out there. However, the Youngkin Administration opposed it, saying it would be a "first of its kind" law to restrict search warrants.
