Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Richmond will likely see what remains of Hurricane Ida on Wednesday afternoon. NBC12 Forecaster Nick Russo says the timeline for storms, and possibly even tornadoes, is between 2pm and 10pm Wednesday.
Russo says Richmond proper is unlikely to face a flooding or wind risk, minus any potential tornadoes. He says Richmond might receive an inch or so or rain, while Louisa and Charlottesville could receive more.
Governor Ralph Northam has declared a State of Emergency ahead of the storm. Flooding is already occurring in southwestern Virginia. Following Ida, temperatures are expected to cool, and Russo says the rest of the week will feel fall-like.
