Washington, D.C. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Senator Tim Kaine (D) says climate change is an emergency, and declaring it so is fine, but the Democrat says the real issue is what is done with that declaration. Kaine spoke just prior to President Joe Biden (D) announcing some executive actions on climate change.

Kaine says he will judge actions when they are announced. He points out President Donald Trump declared the southern border an emergency, and then moved money from the Pentagon to build a wall, which Kaine opposed. Kaine also said the transfer of funds hurt Pentagon projects.

Kaine says the impact of the climate can be seen in Hampton Roads with sea level rise.
