Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Yet another measure that could potentially impact abortion in the Commonwealth has been rejected in the State Senate. The Senate Rules Committee Friday rejected a resolution from Senator Amanda Chase that would have declared that life began at fertilization.
Chase called it a simple bill that "follows the science." Opponents said it would amount to a complete abortion ban.
The measure was in Senate Rules rather than Senate Health because it was a resolution.
