Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Local health districts have announced that they are expanding who is eligible to get the Covid vaccine. The Richmond-Henrico Health District and the Chickahominy Health District are opening shots up to all people in Phase 1B. The Chesterfield Health District is keeping it more limited but is including more Phase 1b, including grocery store workers.
Cat Long, Spokeswoman for the RHHD, says they made the decision to expand as they received more vaccines, as well as the addition of the Johnson and Johnson shots to the mix. She says people in those groups can expect to get shots shortly, within the next few weeks if not sooner.
Long also recommends people answer their phones, even if the call appears to be spam. People have been missing potential scheduling opportunities because they have not been answering their phones.
