Colonial Heights, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - State Police are continuing to investigate a fatal shooting that occurred on I-95 North near the Colonial Heights/Chesterfield line Monday night. The shooting happened around 11:30 pm between a Ford Focus and an unknown car.
State Police say someone in the unknown car started shooting at the Focus near the 55 mile marker. The Focus then pulled over, according to Police, as did the other car, and someone got out and shot at the Focus as well. The unknown car then drove off.
Police say the driver of the Focus ran from the scene and has not been found. A passenger also ran but was later located. Inside the vehicle, officers found another passenger fatally wounded.
Police are asking anyone with any information to please call them. Some drivers on the interstate at the time have cooperated, but they are still looking for additional information.
