Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Kassceen Weaver, the Midlothian father accused of killing his young son and storing his body in a freezer, is set to go on trial Monday in Chesterfield Circuit Court. The trial is expected to take four days. Weaver is charged with murder, child neglect, and concealing a dead body.
Weaver's wife, Dina, was also originally charged, but those charges have been dropped. She is expected to testify at trial.
Police originally found the remains in the home near Swift Creek Reservoir in 2021. However, they believe they had actually been in the freezer for a few years. Weaver also faces charges for allegedly abusing his wife, and is set to go on trial on those charges in August.
