Midlothian, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Midlothian Supervisor Leslie Haley is resigning, effective Monday. Haley did not provide a reason in her statement, but the Attorney General's Office has announced she is joining Jason Miyares' Senior Leadership team.
Haley was first elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2015. She was re-elected in 2019. She also served as Board Chair in 2019 and 2020. The Board will meet June 13th to talk about the process of selecting an interim replacement.
Haley actually lost the GOP AG nomination to Miyares last year.
