Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Virginia State Police have placed additional charges on Michael Davis, a North Chesterfield man accused in an abduction, pursuit, and shootout along I-95 in Northern Virginia earlier this month. Davis already faced an abduction charge; he now faces an attempted capitol murder charge, an eluding charge, and a charge of being a felon in possession of a weapon.
Davis is accused of abducting Tatiana David from Ithaca, N.Y., in early April. State Police say he then started a pursuit with officers in Fairfax County, after a trooper pulled his vehicle over because the plates did not match the vehicle. The pursuit went into Prince William County, where State Police say there was a crash, and then Davis allegedly fired on officers.
David died in the incident. Davis was taken to a Northern Virginia hospital, where he was treated, and then released this week. Davis, as of yet, does not face any charges related to David's death. State Police say they are still waiting Medical Examiner's report in her death.
