Richmond, VA. (NewsradioWRVA.com) - In a rare form of unity, both Governor Ralph Northam and Governor-Elect Glenn Youngkin showed up together at the American Red Cross in Henrico's West End on Wednesday to give blood.

Governor Northam says he and Youngkin decided to do that in the midst of the tornado damage in Kentucky and the fact that, during a pandemic, the supply of blood is critically low.

Governor Northam also brought up the Coronavirus, especially as the holidays and gathering take place. Northam says the best way to protect yourself is to get vaccinated and to get a booster. Governor-Elect Youngkin also pushed the fact that boosters are easy to get and is the best way to protect yourself.
