CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in the 1100 block of South Providence Road at about 7 a.m. on Saturday.
Police said a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier was traveling on South Providence Road when it crossed the double-yellow lines into the path of a 2011 Chevrolet Express Van.
The driver and sole occupant of the Cavalier was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin. The three occupants of the Chevrolet Van were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
