Henrico, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Henrico Police have released a statement on the Lucia Bremer case today, as much to counter speculation as to provide new information. The statement comes as the Bremer family announces the 13-year old girl's funeral will be Saturday.
Police say there is no evidence the shooting was racially or gang crime motivated. Henrico Police say there is no evidence that anyone involved, including witnesses, was involved in gang activity.
Police also say they will be limiting information in this case to protect it and the investigation. A 14-year old boy is in custody. The Henrico Commonwealth's Attorney has not yet decided whether to try him as an adult.
