Henrico County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) -- Henrico Police have now identified the suspect and the victim in a West End standoff that took place Monday afternoon.

After they responded to a call of a domestic dispute on Downing Street (off Pemberton Road), they encountered an adult man inside a residence who refused to come out. The suspect, now identified as Richard Alan Lombardi, 51, of Henrico, did eventually come out after several hours, and he was taken into custody without incident. He has since been charged with one count of second degree murder.

When police entered the home, they found one victim dead inside. She has now been identified as Amber Kavanagh Riley, 49, also of Henrico. Henrico Police say they believe the two were known to each other, and that this was an isolated threat. They are investigating the incident as a homicide.

While Henrico Police say they believe this to be an isolated incident, they are asking that if anybody has any pertinent information about the events leading up to Monday's standoff, they call Henrico Police's non-emergency number.
