Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Powerball jackpot for Monday's drawing is now an estimated $1.04 billion after no one matched the six-numbers in Saturday's drawing.
If one ticket were to match all six numbers in Monday's drawing, the winner will have a choice to receive either the full amount in annual payments over 30 years before taxes, or a one-time cash option of approximately $478 million before taxes.
In Saturday’s drawing, a total of 67,454 Powerball tickets were bought in Virginia. Prizes ranged from $4 to $200, according to the Virginia Lottery. The Virginia Lottery says it expects to sell over $2 million worth of tickets today alone.
