Colonial Heights, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Colonial Heights Animal Control is working to find the person behind an animal abandonment.
The shelter is asking the community for help determining who abandoned a puppy and tied it to the side of a building.
In a social media post, Colonial Heights Animal Control said a puppy was “left tied to the side of the Claims Co Services and fastest Lab building on the Boulevard and Boykins Avenue here in the City of Colonial heights.”
“He was left with no food, no water, just had the collar and leash tied to the fence post,” the post said.
The agency is working to identify the person who abandoned the puppy and is waiting to receive security camera footage from the area.
Anyone who recognizes the puppy (pictured above) or has information related to this incident is asked to call Colonial Heights Animal Control at 804-520-9397, ext. 5.
