Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - NBC12 meteorologists say the rainy, cloudy weather we've been seeing will stick around through the weekend.
On Thursday, those in Southern and Southeastern Virginia could see thunderstorms roll through between 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Those downpours could potentially produce a tornado warning or damaging winds, according to meteorologist Andrew Freiden. He says the chance of a tornado warning is low, but not zero.
Hurricanes Brett and Cindy don't look like big concerns in Virginia, but they are a sign that things are churning in the atmosphere. After Monday of next week, Freiden says the rain chances will begin to dwindle and we'll start seeing a more normal summer rain pattern.
