Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Richmond police say a man has died and two suspects have been arrested following a robbery spree which took place on the same road.

On Wednesday, Feb. 7, just after 10 a.m., Richmond Police Department officers were called to a business on the 2200 block of Broad Rock Boulevard for a report of a robbery. An armed man was reported to have fired a round inside of the business before taking cash and driving off.

Minutes later, police responded to Lindo Amanecer Restaurant and Market for a report of a robbery and person shot. Marvin Ramos-Hernandez of Chesterfield, a longtime employee of the restaurant, was pronounced dead at the scene with a gunshot wound.

Police say the two suspects, identified as 25-year-old Yonathan Zelaya Beltran of Richmond and 18-year-old Ronaldy Monterroso of Chesterfield, were located less than hour later with the help of security cameras in the area.

The pair was also found to have been connected to a third incident on Broad Rock Boulevard – an attempted robbery reported to have taken place a few minutes after Ramos-Hernandez was shot and killed.

Both suspects have been charged with robbery and use of a firearm while committing a felony. Police say homicide charges are pending.
