Richmond,Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - It will take some time to tabulate the votes this evening. Chesterfield Registrar Missy Vera says the issue will be the machines at the Registrar's Office itself, used for early voting. Those machines could not be tabulated early despite early voting ending Saturday.
Vera says the votes on those machines need to be broken down by precinct. In Chesterfield, Vera says there are 86 precincts, and there are 10 races per precinct.
Vera says the "day of" voting should move pretty quickly.
