Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Richmond gas prices are up ten cents this week, according to AAA Mid-Atlantic. The average now sits at $3.27 a gallon, the same as the statewide average.

AAA Spokesman Morgan Dean says the Russia/Ukraine tension, plus winter weather, is driving up crude oil prices. Crude oil is now over $90 a barrell, more than $30 above where it was in August.

Dean also says they do not see any downward pressure right now. For prices to head in that direction, Dean says the Russian tension would need to ease, and more crude oil would need to be produced.
