Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - It’s race weekend in Richmond, with three days of racing highlighted by the Cup Series race on Easter Sunday evening. Richmond Raceway President Lori Waran says the track is embracing its role hosting a race on Easter and making it family friendly.
There will be a nondenominational Easter church service at the Richmond Raceway on Sunday afternoon.
The service will take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 31. Team owner Joe Gibbs and driver Corey Lajoie will be speaking and four-time Grammy Award-winning musician Michael Tait will be performing.
The service will take place at the Virginia Credit Union Live! Amphitheater. It is free to attend but registration is required.
The first of three races at the track takes place Friday, March 29.
