Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Richmond Schools Superintendent Jason Kamras says he has not yet seen demands made this week by the Richmond Crusade for Voters. Kamras says he's been focused on the first week of school, and has not had a chance to look at the organization's platform.

On Wednesday, the Richmond Crusade for Voters demanded the school system do an audit on enrollment and of the budget. The group also requested current and future graduates be allowed to use the Richmond Technical Center to improve their academic abilities. The Crusade also wants the district to pay for graduates' degrees at VCU, VSU, and VUU.

Kamras spoke at a press conference to introduce the district's new principals and staff. He also said that teacher positions are 95% filled, and they are working to get in a Chief Wellness Officer and Chief Academic Officer.
