Richmond, Va. (NewsradioWRVA.com) - There is still the threat of off-and-on heavy rain and severe weather when the remnants of Nicole come into Virginia tomorrow. NBC 12 meteorologist Rachel Meyers says that the tropical moisture from the storm is going to interact with a cold front that's going to come into Virginia from the mountains.

That will lead to the severe threat that we will see Friday afternoon and evening. The precipitation will start overnight and Meyers says that there could be tornado warnings and spotty severe thunderstorms - especially in the afternoon and evening.

Generally, she says that the area will see half an inch of rain to an inch of rain with scattered larger amounts in areas where severe storms hit. The rain that will come into Virginia will not be a constant rain. The precipitation stops at 11 Friday night and it clears up nicely for Saturday. It will be sharply colder on Sunday with highs only in the low 50s.
