Henrico County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Henrico County authorities on Friday announced that a brother and sister have been arrested in connection with a February 2024 fire that damaged Carytown Burgers & Fries Lakeside.

According to officials with the Henrico fire department, Jordan Castaneda, 37, and Shelby Castaneda, 32, have been charged with burning or destroying a building or structure and conspiracy to commit a felony. They are both being held without bond.

“After several weeks of examining evidence and conducting interviews, the Fire Marshal’s Office determined there is ample reason to believe the fire was intentionally set,” said Assistant Chief Henry Rosenbaum, Henrico County’s Fire Marshal.

No injuries were caused as a result of the fire, but it did cause significant damage to the building, located at 5404 Lakeside Avenue.

The fire remains under investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Henrico Fire Marshal’s Office at 804-501-4914 or email firemarshal@henrico.us.
