Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - State Police say six people died on Virginia roads over the Labor Day holiday, a significant drop from 10 deaths in 2021 and 20 in 2020. However, of the six, four were juveniles, and half of the six were people not wearing available seatbelts.
State Police Spokeswoman Shelby Crouch says two pedestrians were among the six killed. Crouch says they are stressing that people buckle up over the final months of the year, with traffic picking up because of school and eventually, the holidays.
One of the fatal crashes was in Hanover.
