Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Now that former House Speaker Eileen Filler-Corn has been ousted as House Minority Leader, a few Democrats are speaking out against that vote. Those speaking out include longtime Delgate Ken Plum (D-Fairfax), whom Filler-Corn defeated to become the first woman speaker in Virginia history.

Plum says Filler-Corn is being unjustly blamed for losses that should be blamed on the second run for Governor by Terry McAuliffe. Plum says he will support Filler-Corn for Speaker again. Delegate Paul Krizek (D-Fairfax) also said he was saddened by the vote.

Democrats did not select a new Minority Leader during the veto session Wednesday. Delegate Don Scott (D-Portsmouth) is running. He was the primary force behind Filler-Corn's ouster.
