(Stafford County, VA) - The Stafford County Board of Supervisors says 'no' to the teaching of Critical Race Theory in the school system outside Fredericksburg.

The vote that occurred Tuesday was unanimous. To go along with the Critical Race Theory vote, the board also voted to condemn requiring students to choose their own pronouns. The action also means the Board of Supervisors could withhold money from the county's public school system and what they might spend on Critical Race Theory.

A long line of speakers spoke for and against the resolution before the vote. Those who were for stopping of Critical Race Theory teaching say it creates a culture of revenge for sins of the past. One person said it wasn't the Board of Supervisors' jurisdiction to make a decision on this. They say it should be the School Board. The Board of Supervisors, however, is in charge of allocation of money to the school board.
