State Police Confirm Possession of Threat Against McAuliffe

Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Virginia State Police confirm they are in possession of a threat made against former Governor and current candidate Terry McAuliffe. In a statement, State Police said, "The Virginia State Police is in receipt of the threat and has forwarded it to our Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management Team, as is done with any email of an alarming/threatening nature that is received by a candidate running for elected office. No arrest or charges have been placed at this time."

The Virginia Scope news publication first reported the threat. The threat reads "If I get the opportunity I will shoot Terry - MAGA." You can see the threat above, provided to WRVA by the McAuliffe Campaign.

News of the threat comes under two weeks before Election Day, and just days before McAuliffe has a high profile event with former President Barack Obama.
