Richmond, Va. (NewsradioWRVA.com) - Looks like a cold front that will come into the area on Sunday will bring some snow. It's still too early, however, to talk about exact accumulations at this point.
The warm weather we have been enjoying will last through early Sunday when temperatures will start falling. NBC 12 meteorologist Sophia Armata says that Sunday morning will bring rain, with the temperatures falling, that will change to snow at some point Sunday afternoon or evening.
While nothing is concrete as far as accumulations go, Armata says that the accumulations appear to be on the lighter side and the system will exit late Sunday night. Following that, very cold weather will be around for a bit.
Armata says that there are still variables to look at with this storm, but having multiple days of warm weather could help keep accumulations on roads down on Sunday.
