Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield Police have arrested a teacher at the Chesterfield Early Childhood Learning Academy on 12 misdemeanor assault warrants. Lisa Harbilas, 57, is accused of assaulting multiple students in 2022. All of the alleged victims are under the age of six.
Police say they were first notified of the alleged assaults earlier this month, by the mother of a young girl. The family alleged the assault occurred during last November. They then found allegations from three other students that November, and one dating back until August.
The department consulted with the Chesterfield Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in this case.
