Henrico, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Henrico Police have arrested a teen for a September accident that killed a Hermitage classmate. The crash September 19th also killed two dogs.
The teen, who is 14, has been charged with Involuntary Manslaughter, Reckless Driving by Speed, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, and Operating a Motor Vehicle without an Operator’s License. The other two teens in the car were also underage. The teen is not being identified because of his age.
Police say the car was speeding along Olde West Drive when the car left the road, went on the sidewalk, struck the two dogs, and then a tree. One teen died at the hospital. Police are asking parents to prevent access to their cars to underage drivers.
