Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Virginia Farm Bureau says the average Thanksgiving meal in Virginia will be up five-and-a-half percent this year, or $3.33. The average meal, for a dinner of 10, with all the normal ingredients, will be $63.66.
The Bureau says the turkey will be the most expensive ingredient, at an average of around $25 for a 16 lb. turkey. The Bureau does this survey annually.
The Bureau also says despite workforce and supply chain issues, ingredients are readily available.
