Goochland County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Goochland County Sheriff’s Office is increasing security at all schools in the county on Friday after deputies were made aware of a potential threat last night targeting Goochland Middle School.
The Sheriff’s Office says there is no evidence indicating that the threat is credible. Investigators are working to determine the source.
“At this time, there is no credible information or evidence to corroborate this threat other than a rumor that has been circulating among students via text messages and social media,” the sheriff’s office said.
Out of an abundance of caution, there will be additional deputies at all schools on Friday, Dec. 20.
