Henrico, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Henrico Police have announced three arrests in a fatal shooting this weekend that occurred in the White Oak Village Shopping Center. A teenage girl was shot and killed, and another person injured in the shooting, which occurred late Saturday afternoon
Henrico Police Chief Eric English says the arrests were of two 18-year olds and a teenage boy. Trevon Chappelle, 18, faces a charge of shooting into an occupied building. Jihad Ruffin, 18, faces the same charge plus murder and use of a firearm. The teenager faces the same charges as Ruffin plus possession of a firearm under 18.
English says they are currently analyizing the county's shootings to determine how to best delpoy their resources to try and stem the growing tide of gun violence.
