Cameron “Cam” Massie, 2, died Sunday, June 15, after drowning in a pool at a home along the 8300 block of Bowers Lane in Henrico County.

Police said he died due to his injuries at the hospital. There were no signs of foul play, according to officials. Detectives will continue to investigate the circumstances of his death.
This incident follows an incident at a pool in Chesterfield earlier this month that left a child fighting for their life.
At about 1:40 p.m. on Monday, June 9, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department were called to a pool in the 700 block of City View Loop for a report of a possible drowning. The child was taken to the hospital and is alive. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
