Tornado Threat Lessening

Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - NBC12 Forecaster Nick Russo says the tornado threat for the Richmond area is lessening, and the severe storm threat should be done by 8pm tonight. Central Virginia did have a few tornado-warned storms early this afternoon, near Fort Lee and Fort AP Hill.

Russo says behind the storm should be nice, fall-like weather, with temperatures peaking around 80 degrees. Humidity will also drop.

Other areas of Virginia did receive significant rains this afternoon.
