Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Donald Trump, former president and presumptive 2024 Republican nominee, was convicted Thursday on all counts of falsifying business records in a case centered on allegations that he illegally influenced the 2016 election by giving hush money to a porn star who said the two had sex.
The criminal trial, which spanned more than six weeks, was the first in U.S. history against a former president. Its impact on the 2024 presidential election remains uncertain. The trial does not bar Trump from seeking another term in the White House.
