Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Richmond's Registrar believes turnout totals in the city will likely match the numbers seen in 2017, the last time Virginia elected a Governor. Registrar Keith Balmer says 71,000 voted in 2017, and the numbers were in the 60,000 range around 2pm.
Balmer says voting was spread around the city. Richmond also has a casino referendum on the ballot today, but Balmer says the vote was not any heavier in the precincts most impacted by the possible casino in South Richmond.
Chesterfield was seeing around 21% turnout at 2pm. WRVA will have coverage throughout the evening:
