Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Richmond Police say two students were shot in the parking lot of George Wythe High School Thursday afternoon. One student has life threatening injuries, while the second student, according to police, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Richmond Police Chief Rick Edwards says they are looking for multiple suspects, although they believe there is only one shooter. Edwards says there was no violence inside the school. The high school did go on lockdown for the day.
Richmond Schools Superintendent Jason Kamras says they need the community's help to stop the violence. He says there is too much access to guns and too much gun violence in the city.
