Charlottesville, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The University of Virginia has announced two upcoming tutition increases. The Board of Visitors has voted to increase tuition nearly five percent for the next academic year, and nearly four percent for the year after that increase.
The Board says it is necessary to offer competitive salaries, as well as offer a world-class student experience. Base tuition had remained steady the two previous years.
The university says the rates could changed based on state funding.
