Charlottesville, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Just days after the College of William and Mary said it was going to require a Covid vaccine once it is fully approved, the University of Virginia has made a similar announcement. UVA says it will require a vaccine to attend campus this fall, regardless of full approval.
UVA is allowing for both religious and health exemptions. However, unvaccinated employees and students will face additional Covid testing. Proof of vaccination is required by July 1st.
Spokesman Brian Coy says an opinion from the Attorney General backs up the legality of their decision.
