Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com)- President Biden's announcement on his plans to make more gas available for Americans, made just a week ago, has already caused gas prices to fall all over the country.
Biden said that he would release a million barrels of oil per day for six months from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
This caused investors to lower their prices on crude oil, which made the actual prices at the pump lower.
According to AAA's Mid-Atlantic spokesperson, Morgan Dean, the national gas average is down six cents in one week and Virginia's is down seven cents.
Richmond's average gas price is currently $4.03.
If Biden falls through with his plan to take oil from what's said to be the largest supply of emergency oil on the globe, gas prices could fall even more.
